Why Your Liver Is So Important

One of the most unappreciated organs in the body is the liver. I want to take a moment to apologize to my Liver for the years of abuse that has weakened it and kept it from doing it’s job to protect my immune system.

The liver is your first line of defense when it comes to protecting you against illness and disease.  It’s job is to remove all those harmful chemicals you come in contact with each day.

A Daily Dose of Toxins

We are exposed to so many toxins on a daily basis that if it wasn’t for our liver our bodies would be overwhelmed and disease would set in immediately.

Just think about it.  You wake up in the morning make yourself a cup of coffee.  Coffee, by the way is toxic because of the caffeine and high acidity. I’ll talk more about it in my video presentation.   You get in the car and drive to work next to trucks that pump out tons of toxic black exhaust that we breathe in not to mention all the cars that leave behind a trail of noxious fumes.

You get to work and walk up to the building where you pass people smoking cigarettes that leave a cloud of carcinogens in the air for you to breathe in. You sit in an enclosed office that circulates the same stale air which produces airborne dust and has the remnants of molds spores and germs floating in the air.

it’s time for lunch and you grab a quick meal from a fast food restaurant or heat up a frozen meal in the microwave.  These meals are filled with chemicals and preservatives that are toxic to our bodies.

All these toxins enter your blood stream and make their way to your liver.  A healthy liver will take all of this toxic brew and filter it from the blood.  Overtime, a constant barrage of harmful toxins mixed with an unhealthy lifestyle will cause these contaminants to build up in the liver.

Your liver will become weak and  clogged, unable to perform the job it is designed to do, which is to keep your immune system healthy and strong by fighting off illness and disease.

If your liver becomes that overwhelmed and weakened guess what happens?  Your liver becomes a toxic dump overflowing with waste and poisons. Those poisons can get back into your blood stream and begin to store themselves in other organs.

It’s like a septic tank backing up into your living room.  The waste and garbage getting into your furniture destroying the fine upholstery and the carpeting.

Pay close attention to this part right here because this is where you and your thyroid problems come in.

Just like in my septic tank example, when the liver can no longer filter these poisons, I repeat, they seep back into your blood stream, they get stored into weaker organs (ie. thyroid) and begin to destroy their function.

Think About It…….

Your liver is your bodies “poison control center”. The livers job affects the proper function of all your organs.  Your kidneys, spleen, heart, gallbladder, thyroid.  EVERYTHING!!

If the liver doesn’t function at its best and filter the blood properly, the passage to the endocrine glands (thyroid) can become clogged and begin to dysfunction.

Are you beginning to see the big picture?  Have you reached your Ah Ha moment yet? Is it starting to make sense?  I pray that it does. Stay tuned because there’s more…….

Welcome to the Journey to Health Blog

Welcome to the journey to health blog.  I created this blog to share my experience with Graves Disease and give you information about different things that can be done naturally to improve and even get your thyroid back to health.

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter.  I will be sending you tips and special information to help you on your journey to health.

I was frustrated with going back and forth to the doctor trying to find answers as to why I have Graves Disease and what can I do to get better.  The doctor basically told me he had no idea how my thyroid malfunctioned and began putting me on thyroid medication to see if that helped.  The medication wasn’t before he suggested I have surgery to remove my thyroid.

That was definitely not what I wanted to hear.  I figured if the doctor’s had no clue about why your thyroid malfunctions then it couldn’t hurt if I did my own research.  That’s  exactly what I did and the information I found really blew me away.

That’s the reason why I want to share what I found out with everyone who is suffering with any type of thyroid condition because the solution is something that can benefit everyone regardless of whether they have hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.

There are over 25 million Americans who suffer from thyroid diseases and as many as half don’t even know it.  That’s an amazing statistic that speaks volumes!  If so many people are suffering from the same problem, there has to be a common link.

Throughout this blog we are going to touch on issues that everyone has in common when it comes to thyroid disease and how they play a role in the progression of the disease.  These issues include.

  • Your diet
  • Your emotions
  • Your Liver

Once I figured out the correlation between these three things and how they have a direct impact on the health of your thyroid  it was gave me a sense of well being to know that I could overcome this disease and enjoy a life of good health.

Through the years I’ve researched and gathered bits and pieces of information but was unable to put it all together to come up with a plan of action to follow when it came to healing my thyroid.

Now all those pieces have matched up to reveal answers to the million dollar question.  “Why do I have thyroid dysfunction?” There will be a lot of information so make sure you bookmark this site so you can come back to it quickly.

It’s a great feeling to finally have answers. I’ve begun to put into action the things that I’ve learn and am now seeing positive results in my health.   You can begin to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel called Graves disease.

I want to share this information with you and hope it will answer some of your questions and  possibly get the results you so desperately want so that you can begin your journey to health.
